What vape coil resistance (ohms) means
Resistance is how much a coil resists the electric current from the battery, measured in ohms (symbol Ω). By Ohm law, lower resistance means more current at the same voltage, so more power, more heat and more vapour. Higher resistance means less current, cooler vapour and longer battery life.

How resistance changes power, flavour and battery
For a fixed voltage, power equals voltage squared divided by resistance. At 3.7V, a 1.0 ohm coil draws about 13.7W, while a 0.6 ohm coil draws about 22.8W. Higher power heats the liquid more, which raises vapour and flavour intensity but also uses liquid and battery faster. Always stay inside the wattage range for your vape coil resistance printed on your coil and device.
How to read a coil pack
Packs list the resistance, the recommended wattage range and the coil type, such as mesh. Match all three to your device. A pod device sold for MTL should use the higher-resistance coil it ships with. Do not fit a low-resistance coil to a device built for MTL.
